About the project

SCBX Annual Report 2024 is a conceptual visual development project created for the 2024 Annual Report of SCBX, one of Thailand’s leading financial and banking groups. The challenge was to develop a unifying visual concept that could represent the company’s overall vision while bringing together diverse business narratives under a single, cohesive story. Rather than focusing on individual products or services, the concept aimed to communicate SCBX’s broader impact through a human-centered perspective, translating complex business ambitions into a visual narrative that feels accessible and relatable.

For this project, I collaborated with the team to develop the visual concept for the cover and six key concept pages within the report. Inspired by SCBX’s vision of creating better opportunities through innovation and financial solutions, we explored different creative directions before arriving at the idea of reflection as the central visual metaphor. Each scene presents two perspectives: the reality of people’s everyday lives and a reflected version that represents greater possibilities, growth, and improved outcomes. Through this approach, abstract business goals could be expressed through familiar human experiences, creating a visual narrative that bridges SCBX’s future aspirations with the people and communities it aims to serve.

Concept

SCBX’s vision revolves around leveraging technology, AI, and digital financial services to make everyday life easier and more accessible. The challenge was finding a way to communicate this future-focused ambition without relying on abstract technology visuals or corporate jargon.

The concept emerged from a simple question: What does a better life enabled by SCBX actually look like?

To answer this, a reflection-based visual system was developed. Each scene is divided into two layers. The lower half portrays people in their present reality—their daily routines, aspirations, and businesses—while the upper half reveals an enhanced version of that same moment, reflecting how financial access, digital services, and innovation can help unlock new possibilities.

To bring these future-facing reflections to life, AI-generated imagery was intentionally incorporated into the visual development process. As SCBX was positioning itself as a technology-driven organization embracing AI and digital innovation, the use of AI became both a creative tool and a conceptual extension of the story itself. Guided by art direction, scenario planning, and prompt development, AI was used to visualize aspirational scenarios that would be difficult to capture through traditional photography alone, helping transform abstract technological ambitions into tangible human experiences.

Through carefully crafted scenarios, the visuals transform strategic business goals into tangible human stories: families enjoying greater opportunities, SMEs and farmers gaining access to modern tools and resources, investors managing wealth with greater ease, and professionals collaborating within highly connected digital environments. The reflection becomes a metaphor for potential—showing not just where people are today, but where they could be tomorrow.

By framing technology through the lens of everyday human experiences, the concept creates a bridge between corporate vision and real-world impact. Instead of portraying digital transformation as a technological achievement, the design positions it as a catalyst for improving lives—turning a complex business narrative into a story people can immediately see themselves in.
